Training Resources - Coronavirus

General Short courses and seminars

  • Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) training: Online training- WHO. Free online courses for healthcare workers covering multiple topics such as: infection prevention and control strategies; environmental cleaning and decontamination and sterilization of medical devices.

  • The Coronavirus eLearning Programme - eIntegrity Healthcare eLearning. This programme brings together quality-assured content from Health Education England e-Learning for Healthcare, NHS England and NHS Improvement, and the World Health Organization (WHO). Suitable for doctors, nurses, consultants, healthcare assistants, midwives and other allied healthcare professionals, including those who are returning to the workforce to help during the crisis.

Infection prevention and control training

  • COVID-19 infection control training - Australian Government Dept of Health. (Users must register, but registration is open to anyone.) This 30-minute online training module is for health care workers in all settings. It covers the fundamentals of infection prevention and control for COVID-19.

Critical Care Nursing

  • SURGE Critical Care courses for Registered Nurses - Critical Care Education Services and Medcast. Provides education for Registered Nurses about the necessary minimum knowledge and skills required to work in High Dependency or Critical Care settings, such as Intensive Care Units (ICU).  The education is available online and builds on previous knowledge, skills and experience in preparation for transitioning to High Dependency Units (HDU) and Critical Care wards.
