The Northern Territory Health Libraries network supports the research and information needs of all NT Health staff (Department of Health, Top End Health Service and Central Australia Health Service) and affiliated health professionals throughout the Northern Territory.
The network is made up of five branch libraries located in Darwin, Alice Springs, Nhulunbuy, Katherine and Tennant Creek.
Our purpose is to support all programs with particular emphasis on patient and public health care. This is done through the delivery of evidence-based information and knowledge resources and services, specifically for clinical decision-support, public health programs, education and training, health technology assessment, research, policy, management and administration.
Our services fall into four broad areas: Collections Management and Access, Reference and Research, Health Information Education and Training and the Policy and Guidelines Program.
