Research Support

Contact a librarian for more information on any of the services below or to book an appointment.

Literature Searching

We conduct comprehensive literature searches to support patient care, research projects, program or service development and more.  Place a request online via the Literature Search request form and we will conduct a search on your behalf and send the best articles directly to your inbox.

Research Consultation

If you need one-to-one assistance with constructing a search strategy, writing a literature review or critically appraising the literature, you can book an individualised session with one of our experienced librarians. Place a request online via the Book a Librarian form and choose a time and date that suits you.

Research Toolkit

The Research Toolkit documents the NT Health research lifecycle and provides links to a selection of resources that will assist you whilst working on research projects.  You can start writing your paper when you begin gathering literature sources and adjust your searching and writing as you continue to work through the research process.

Literature Review Support

We can help you with selecting a topic, searching and analysing the literature, refining your search and writing the review. Place a request via the Book a Librarian form or see our help guide on Literature Review Writing.

Journal Club Support

The Clinical Librarians are currently supporting a number of NT Health Journal Clubs and can:

  • run a critical appraisal introduction
  • help with initial set up
  • help with topic ideas for each meeting
  • find appropriate research articles for discussion
  • attend the meetings to support interpreting research results
  • create a webpage that links to presentations and articles

You may also like to view the Starting a Journal Club Help Guide for current ideas and tips to get the best outcomes when running a journal club.
