About Micromedex

MICROMEDEX is a collection of many different drug databases, including Martindale, the Physician’s Desk Reference (PDR), DRUGDEX, DISEASEDEX, POISONDEX, and several alternative medicine databases.

MICROMEDEX is intended for medical professionals, particularly pharmacists, doctors and nurses, or students of those professions.

Micromedex Drug Information
The Micromedex Drug Information app provides access to comprehensive drug information including generic and trade names, dosage, contraindications, toxicology and more.
 
Once installed, this app does not require an internet connection. 
 
Instructions
  1. You can obtain the password by opening the Micromedex database and clicking on the button 'Download Mobile Apps'.
  2. Using your mobile device, go to the App Store (for iPhone and iPad) or the Play Store / Market (Android) and search for 'Micromedex'.
  3. Download the Micromedex Drug Information app.
  4. Open / launch the app and enter the password.  The password is case sensitive so enter it exactly.
  5. The app is now ready to use.
Micromedex Drug Interactions
With Drug Interactions, clinicians can check a patients entire medication list simultaneously for potentially harmful interactions and view severity ratings that range from contraindicated to minor.  This app provides insight into:
  • Why the drugs in question interact
  • How the results of those interactions will present in the patient
  • Recommendations for monitoring patient outcomes

Micromedex IV Compatibility

Helps clinicians interpret conflicting compatibility results by identifying contributing factors such as the physical compatibility, storage, study period, container and chemical stability.
Includes drug-solution compatibility results as well as drug-drug compatibility results when creating an admixture or administering via Y-Site.
