Chronic diseases - staying informed with library tools and resources
Chronic conditions are becoming increasingly common and are a priority for action in the health sector. Many Territorians with chronic conditions do not have a single, predominant condition, but rather they experience multimorbidity – the presence of 2 or more chronic conditions. Leading categories for burden of disease, include mental health, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and chronic respiratory disease.

The library offers tools and resources that can assist in not only understanding chronic disease better but accessing the latest evidence on best practice in improving the clinical pathways and outcomes of patients.

Our librarians A'Mhara McKey and Saara Kahkonen each presented at the conference, showcasing the library's evolving digital services.
