2025 Library training schedule

The Library's 2025 training schedule is packed with all your favourite sessions. Get the most out of the library's resources and services with these hands-on sessions. Look below out our upcoming library training for the first half of the year:

 


 

Research support week 2025 - save the date!

The Library is organising a Research Support Week in March from the 24th to 28th. The program will include a range of in person and via teams sessions  featuring:

  • Sessions on searching, collecting and analysing literature for research
  • Lightning talks on AI, JBI SUMARI and getting creative when disseminating your research
  • NT Health Research and Publications Online (NTHRPO) launch
  • Insights from NT Health epidemiologists on research and statistics
  • Research poster competition
  • Book-a-Librarian drop in sessions
  • Library pop-up at RDH and ASH

New Australian standards platform coming soon!

Standards Australia, the nation’s peak non-government standards development organisation, has partnered with Accuris to collaborate on standards delivery, technologies and customer experiences. The new Australian Standards platform Accuris will include more content, a modern platform and easier access to all your favourite standards.

 


 

Beat the bite with the 2025 Salt-marsh mosquito and biting midge calendars

Developed to provide information on mosquito and biting midge peaks in the Top End, the calendars are available on the Library's Health Research and Publications Online digital repository.

This review explores the transition from conventional echocardiographic methods to advanced approaches that are reshaping our understanding of the PV, emphasizing the importance of incorporating these cutting-edge techniques into routine clinical practice to enhance patient outcomes.

Alcohol-related injury hospitalisations in relation to alcohol policy changes, Northern Territory, Australia, 2007-2022: A joinpoint regression analysis

Based on a retrospective time-series study, this descriptive analysis calculates alcohol involvement against all injury hospitalisations. Alcohol use was associated with 22.6% of all injury hospitalisations. The most common cause of ARI hospitalisations was assault (
46%).

Operative caseload of general surgeons working in a rural hospital in Central Australia

This study aims to outline the workload of surgeons at Alice Springs Hospital to determine the necessary skill set and surgical education for future surgeons.

Australian burden of disease study 2024

The Australian Burden of Disease Study 2024 includes national estimates for 220 diseases and injuries in 2024 based on projections using historical trends in data.

Coronary heart disease, dementia, back pain, anxiety disorders and COPD were the top 5 diseases causing burden in 2024.
