Tips for successful health promotion

One of the key focus areas in the 2023-2028 NT Health Strategic Plan is Promote wellbeing and prevent illness which aims to build an environment enabling Territorians to have the best start in life and to support a healthy lifestyle across their life span.

The Library's Mission supports this key focus through providing expertise and evidence. Our resources and services can support health promotion projects or chronic disease and community-based prevention programs. We can assist in accessing the right evidence, upskill your information literacy and source promotional material to use. Read our tips for successful health promotion below and get started.

Bill Craig memorial

On Friday 5th May 2023 colleagues and friends of the late Bill Craig gathered to celebrate his life and to share many fond memories. Bill sadly passed away on Valentine's Day, February 14 2023 in Darwin.

Originally from central coast New South Wales, Bill spent the better part of his life in the Territory. He worked for more than 20 years in libraries in the NT. Nothing was too hard for Bill because of his intuitive and patient nature and ability to assist whenever and wherever he could.

We will remember Bill with warmth and affection, softly spoken, quite the gentleman with a fierce love for jackfruit and a hot curry!
